David and Brooklyn Beckham might not be Instagram-ing about the Roses just yet but everyone else is and social media is running hot with those wanting to get their hands on 2017 tour tickets.
The Stone Roses announce London Wembley Stadium show in 2017 and the band also line up two further gigs in Belfast and Glasgow.
The band will play London’s Wembley Stadium on June 17 in between dates at Belfast SSE Arena on June 13 and Glasgow Hampden Park on June 24. Tickets go on sale at 9.30am this Friday (September 30).

Images of lemons which have appeared on The Stone Roses’ posters and album artwork in the past, popped up at Wembley earlier today.
The same posters popped up at record stores in Manchester last year ahead of the band announcing their Etihad Stadium shows and many fans on Twitter were speculating today (September 26) that a series of UK shows were set to be announced.
Incidentally, do you remember the the marketing campaign where the huge super market chain Aldi took on the Roses at their own game to push it’s lemons – it was a stroke of genius!
A Stone Roses fan twitter account also said there were rumours the band will play Glastonbury next year although this is yet to be confirmed.
The full list of dates are:
- Belfast SSE Arena (June 13)
- London Wembley Stadium (17)
- Glasgow Hampden Park (24)
Last year, the band played four nights at Manchester City’s Etihad Stadium. The band also dedicated ‘This Is The One’ to former Manchester United star David Beckham. At the time, Brown announced to the crowd;
“This one is dedicated to Mr Beckham”
The former footballer’s reaction was filmed and later posted to his Instagram account.
The band recently confirmed three dates at the Sydney Opera House later this year.
The Roses will appear in Sydney on December 12, 13 and 14, with tickets costing between $103.20 (£61) and $230 (£136).
As Time Out Sydney notes, it will be the group’s first performance in Australia since they made a surprise appearance at Future Music Festival in 2013.
